Rob will project slides, film loops, shadows, and perhaps a pixel or two. Brightly coloured shapes and movement will stimulate learning. Barnyard Drama will do what they do best: think Mahler and Wagner, slow it right down, add radio Istanbul and the tooth fairy OEcause you know it1s got to be sweet and creepy.

Electric Eclectics Festival of Music and Media Art in Meaford, Ontario
The first annual Electric Eclectics Festival will take place Friday, Aug. 4 to Sunday August 6, 2006, in the town of Meaford and environs. The festival will present concerts, exhibitions and workshops featuring artists from Canada, the US, Europe, and Asia.
A concert at the Meaford Hall Opera House will take place on Aug. 6, 2006, at 8 pm., with 3 days of concerts and overnight camping at the Funny Farm on Scotch Mountain, about 8 km. from Meaford, from Aug. 4 to 6, 2006.
Two exhibitions of sound art will also be presented, one at Meaford Hall, and one at the Griffin Gallery in the Roxy Theatre, Owen Sound.
Festival organizers Laura Kikauka and Gordon Monahan, both artists and performers themselves, have extensive experience in touring and presenting exhibitions and performances worldwide. They are using their international art connections to bring cutting-edge artists from around the globe to perform in Meaford.
They have invited Alexander Hacke, bassist with the Berlin-based industrial band Einst?rzende Neubauten, Tony Conrad, one of the originators of minimalist music in the 1960s, Yuko Nexus6, one of the up-and-coming sound artists on the Japanese scene, Gary Wilson, a cult figure in experimental rock, and Juno-award winner Richard Underhill with his funk jazz band Astrogroove.
A total of more than 30 artists will perform at the 4 day event.
At the Meaford Harbour, on Sunday August 6 at 4 pm., there will be a free, open-air dance performance by the acclaimed Coleman-Lemieux Dance Compagnie from Montreal. They produce large-scale dance productions, which have included Grasslands (2004, Grasslands National Park, Val Marie, Saskatchewan)
and Convoy P.Q. 17, a Russian-Canadian co-production that premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2001. In 2005, Convoy P.Q. 17 was remounted in Russia as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations marking the end of World War II.
Meaford will be a stop on the Coleman-Lemieux Compagniefs 2006 tour, which will also see them performing at the National Art Centre in Ottawa in June, as part of the 2006 Canada Dance Festival. Following that performance they head out to Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, to mount a new large-scale outdoor performance, part of which they will present at Meaford Harbour.
